Pasqua Marina Tota is research assistant at the Department of Education at Aarhus University in Copenhagen. She teaches at the European Masters in Lifelong Learning: Policy and Management in the 'Sociology of Lifelong Learning' module. Marina has research and teaching experience in universities, NGOs and the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning; she published internationally and participated in numerous conferences. She has been working with coordination, planning and implementation of various international educational projects in cross-cultural contexts.
Marina holds two masters degrees, an M.A. in Social, Work and Communication Psychology and an M.A. in Lifelong Learning: Policy and Management. She was awarded three academic scholarships to study at the University of Kent, the University of California, San Diego; at Aarhus University and Deusto University. Her main research interests are in the areas of education policy and politics, with a focus on civil society participation in the governance of education.
