Hasse Cox is studying the Research Master Variant of Management, Economics and Consumer Studies at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. Hasse is specialised in Consumer Studies. She did her Bachelor thesis on the use of Social Networking Sites among students. Her Master thesis focused on the perception of elderly people regarding Home Meal Replacements in the Netherlands.
During her Master, Hasse joined the board of the program committee. Furthermore, to help improve her study program, she conducted research to better understand how students' intrinsic motivation could be improved.
Hasse was a member of the student group of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2011 in the Netherlands. The student group gave feedback and new insights into what would motivate students to attend this event, and how the GEW could show them what entrepreneurship entails. Her involvement with this topic sparked her interest in entrepreneurship.
The Brainport region, the smartest region in the world, hosted the GEW in the Netherlands in 2011, allowing Hasse to gain a strong network in this region. Her network is focussed on the ‘High Tech Campus’ in Eindhoven and the ‘Food Technology Park’ in Helmond.
