Eva Sodomova

Eva Sodomova received her PhD degree in Economics from the Economics University in Bratislava where she became Associated Professor in Economic Statistics in 1988. Since 1991, Eva is the Head of the Statistics Department and, since 2008, she is also Extraordinary Professor.

Her main research interests are economic statistics, with a focus on social statistics, regional development, and statistics of firms’ economic results and management. She has been lecturing and publishing in these fields. Her pedagogic activities also cover the supervision of a number of students. She has been also Head of the Academic Senate and a member of the Scientific Council of the Economics University.

Eva Sodomova has also been active in various national statistical bodies and associations. Since 2007, she has been Head of the Slovak Society for Economic Informatics, and she is also a member of the Slovak Statistical Council (since 2005) and the Slovak Statistical and Demographic Society.
